I find songs every now and then that I listen to for days on end over and over and over again.
Good news, G2 acquired! I am waiting for it to come in the mail. Hopefully today so that I can take it with me on my trip to California which I leave for tomorrow. Right now it seems like time is just going. When I notice it days have gone past, I am usually used to operating like this.
Last night I went to this meet and greet thing for South Africans in the city. I got "outed" a lot in regards to having an American accent. It made me miss the fact that I don’t have much more that a cultural and somewhat emotion connection to the country. I get frustrated that I feel a connection to something I don’t know very well since I was so young when I left. My friend Step had an Afrikaans saying for it. Something in regards to it being my home internally, and when I am in Africa I have a connection to it since it is some way my home. I wish I could remember the phrase, I am sure it would make much more sense than my cryptic memory of what was said. I think after I finish with my learning Latin kick maybe I will try my hand at Afrikaans. It is a very guttural language so I think it might be difficult.
Tomorrow I will be near the beach and away from the city. I need it.
